Donovan’s Story

Preemies Are Special!

Donovan  at 5 minutes old. He was born on July 26, 2003, at 9:35 pm. He weighed 1 lb 9 oz and  was  12. 5 inches long.  The items you see in the picture  are:   He has a ventilator to help him breath, the big patches that are white are to monitor his heart and lungs, the black patch is to monitor  his body temperature, and he has an IV in his umbilical cord and in his arm.

This Website first and foremost is a tribute to the small miracles that are born everyday and survive because of strength they have been given along with the great technology and care from the doctors in the NICUs.  This website is also a tribute  to the March of Dimes, one of the biggest Children’s and infant‘s fundraising organizations in the Untied States.

In this site you will find the amazing story of Donovan! A micro preemie who survived remarkably well with little to no problems during his stay at the NICU.  You will also learn about the March of Dimes and the work it has done over the years to help  Children and Pre term Babies.
